This channel features a variety of content ranging from compositions, film scores, trumpet performances, concert performances of my wind ensemble Winds of the Mountain Empire. Donald Sorah is Associate Professor of Music at The University of Virginia's College at Wise, teaching applied trumpet, horn, conducting, music technology, orchestration, composition, and a variety of additional courses. I also serve as musical director of the Winds of the Mountain Empire, a professional regional wind ensemble founded in 2006 comprised primarily of music educators. He also is a member of the Symphony of the Mountains and the Johnson City Symphony. He earned a PhD in Music Education from The Florida State University as well as a Master of Music in Trumpet Performance and a Bachelor of Music Education from Morehead State University (KY).
