Are you a school-based therapist, special educator, or parent of a special needs child? Then stay tuned to this channel! My name is Liz and I am a full-time school-based occupational therapist with 20 years of experience who has seen a lot, learned a lot and is ready to share some of those insights with you. Currently on this channel, you will see a lot of videos focusing on assistive technology for special needs learners (particularly for written expression and reading). My plan is to expand to all areas of our school-practice including evaluation, service determination, IEP writing, documentation, ethical issues with Medicaid, and of course the day to day issues involving accessing the school setting, using school tools/materials/technology, social/emotional/sensory regulation and behavioral supports, and implementing a highly collaborative model of service provision.
