Mat Beausoleil is an Award-Winning Food Critic & Advisor from Ottawa, Canada. His passion for food and service has taken him from an educated home cook and traveller to a reputable critic and advocate in the Food, Beverage and Travel industries. His journey began on social media, where his high-end plated dishes were reposted by Gordon Ramsay with his nod of approval, and in turn, he followed Mat. From there, Mat was shortlisted for MasterChef Canada during its first three seasons, won the Finish Cook Like a Top Chef Competition with Top Chef Canada & The Food Network Canada and the home cook winner of the French culinary TV show, Meilleur que le chef! Following these experiences and wins, Gordon invited Mat to Hollywood to judge and critique dishes on his live TV show, Gordon Ramsay’s The F Word on FOX. He has written, produced and hosted two TV productions: Takin’ a Bite – Ottawa on Bell Fibe TV1 across Canada and Cooking Adventures Outaouais on Videotron in Québec.
