Kae Lani Palmisano is the Emmy Award-Winning host of WHYY's Check, Please! Philly. She’s also a writer and host for WHYY’s digital series Delishtory. As a storyteller Kae Lani is obsessed with the history and culture of cuisine. She finds that the spirit of a place is often expressed through food. Her culinary travels have taken her across four continents from exploring the Spice Route through Israel and Europe to foraging with the Māori in New Zealand. She has published stories in The Philadelphia Inquirer, Food & Wine, USA TODAY, and more. Kae Lani lives by the motto “life is too short to live anything but deliciously.”
