I'm a professional singer, studied singing at the Sweelinck Conservatorium in Amsterdam with Cora Canne Meijer and obtained my diploma there in 1993. Earning my money mostly with singing in the Opera-world but with a love for all kinds of music, including folk, country, jazz, rock, ballads, world, and more and more... My favourite composers in the classical world: Mahler, Schubert, Puccini, Verdi, Bach. I love to listen to some of my very famous colleagues: Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Jussi Björling, Maria Callas, Kathleen Ferrier,Luciano Pavarotti, Montserrat Caballé, Marilyn Horne, Rolando Villazón. Some of my favourite artists in the pop-world: Elvis Presley, Tim & Jeff Buckley, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, Mickey Newbury, Nina Simone, Eva Cassidy, Paolo Nutini, Hank Williams, Judy Collins, Emmylou Harris, Gregory Isaacs.
