Hello, my name is Lanika Zaman. I am a 5th-grade student at the Harmony Science Academy Cedar Park, Texas who loves to write and dance. I created this website as a part of a project in the school. I've always wondered why my favorite stores like Gymboree and Toys R Us, shut down. Whenever stores I knew shut down I would always get shocked and wonder why they shut down. Later I learned that they shut down because they couldn't keep up with the giant stores and we saw how vulnerable they are to a global pandemic. My goal in this project is to help the small stores in Austin which are on the brink of closing, by giving information about each store. I will be continually updating this website with new stores as I discover them or people recommend them to me. I hope people will stand along-side me and help support our local stores.
