I started on YouTube a while ago(known as TheSimStation) by recording games, mostly Farming Simulator. I loved the sense of going from nothing to slowly building things up. Today, I basically do the same concept only in real life, not in a game. We bought 14 acres near our home in Burnet County, Texas. It was nothing but a mess of trees and brush when we began. Slowly, we are building it up so we can live out there. I still work full time to fund this project, so videos will maybe be once or twice a week. When we compared costs, building our own solar and rainwater collection systems was cheaper than drilling a well and bringing on power, also, we wouldn't have any monthly bills, so I guess that means we are off grid. I'm not sure what homesteading is, but that is how we think of what we are doing out there. I thoroughly enjoy making these videos, it is fun to watch my own progress out there. I hope you enjoy them too!
