LIFT is a business and community economic development initiative led b a group of business people who share a belief that creatives and entrepreneurs are the biggest “natural resource” available for “development” in small cities and rural communities. We are building something new in our community, the Comox Valley. We’ve won an award as the “Best Social Media Organization” – because we do social media different. As if it was about people, not products and services. We’ve been nominated (twice) for “Business Leadership” – because we think about business success as something that benefits community We’ve been called the “cool kids’ networking” organization – because we do “mixers” and “networking” in a way that’s fun and natural. Following the example of startup communities around the world, we’re leading, inspiring, and fuelling talent to grow the next generation economy in our Vancouver Island communities.
