Growing up with a father favouring towards jazz, Footsteps played clarinet and saxophone throughout his school years and later taught himself to play piano. Developing an intricate taste for rhythms and beats; reggae, afrobeat, soul and dancehall all squeeze into his shaken cocktail of taste. He started his career working with Jammer’s collective and had his first release on 679. His sound naturally evolved while his experience and skills as a producer, writer and engineer, bring a depth to the new artists he works with to help them also find their sound. He worked with Yxng Bane in this way creating the songs “Lone Wolf”, “Doubted”, “Never Change”, “Want Me Dead” and “The Message”, resulting in the initial songs that got him noticed and signed by Disturbing London. He is currently working on new material with Bane at the moment. His Bruk Out/ Polydor summer hit “Maxi Dress” featuring Shakka, Ycee and Moelogo is the first track from his eagerly awaited artist project.
