If all goes well, this channel will soon be filled with timeless stories about the real America...the people, places and events that have always made this country what it is. The boot maker, the shop keeper, the artist, the presidential photographer, Americans who have come and gone but never really left us because all of our story subjects are threads in the fabric of America from the days of our founding fathers, to right now and tomorrow.. It sounds corny. And maybe it is. And maybe that's true. But if you hang on Fox News or MSNBC for the latest word on America today...our stories will will be a reminder that what you hear and see on the news today is not what we are really all about. These stories were mostly culled from the archives of a newsmagazine program in the 80s: "Capital Edition" and a series of nationally syndicated specials in 1999: "Picture This, AMERICA."
