This is the REAL story of McNairy County Sheriff Buford Pusser. The movies about the sheriff were highly fictionalized and gave an inaccurate account of Pusser's time as Sheriff of McNairy County. New evidence from state sanctioned documents, photos, FBI reports, autopsy reports and personal interviews with people who lived their own parts in the story show us a very different person than we saw in the fictional movies. Was Buford corrupt? Did he accept payoffs? Was he a womanizer? Did he kill his young wife Pauline in an alleged ambush? Se what people from both sides of the story have to say. The real story is an amazing one which would have made a better script than the one used in WALKING TALL.
