Walter "Wally" Krauss (1/14/1922--2/21/2017). Born in Germany, came to Illinois, 1925. Began piano at 8. At 16, began as church organist & choir director. BS '45, Northwestern Univ. & Naval ROTC. On U.S.S. St. Paul, directed navy choir, entertained the fleet. Was a Lieutenant. Married 1948, with wife Marjorie raised three children in Barrington, Ill. A dedicated organist and choir director in churches for over 35 years. Walter brought joy and fun to his family & many friends through his lively optimism, piano playing, and singing for over 75 years. Played piano in his unique happy style in restaurants, senior care facilities, at parties, and of course at home with family. Entertained senior care residents regularly. Wally, your legacy in music lives on: all your recordings are on this channel, on PLAYLISTS. Update: November 25, 2020 newly remastered audio of some of the old 1990's recordings is heard with a new slideshow.
