Welcome to Vijay Krsna and KIRTANIYAS YouTube channel. KIRTANIYAS are five energetic, multi-talented artists who grew up in a rich culture of devotional song, dance, philosophy in the bhakti yoga tradition. Headed and co-founded by Vijay Krsna, a kirtan singer, multi-instrumentalist, producer bhakti yoga life stylist and entrepreneur from the UK. Vijay Krsna composes phenomenal hybrids of traditional Sanskrit kīrtan (call and response praise to the many names of the Divine) and māntras (incantations) with cross-cultural musical influences and World-beat music. Other members include: co-founder Sarasvati Dasi is both musical (vocal, violin, harmonium, production) and artistic with her painted and digital art. Vocalist and karatal (hand cymbal) player Rasika Dasi. Dancer Malini Taneja (Bharat natyam - Indian classical as well as folk dances, hiphop) and Jamuna Sheth, multi instrumentalist, clothing designer.
