St. J. Jazz supports the live performance of swing, Dixieland, and traditional jazz for dances, weddings, concerts and community celebrations. Our premier performance ensembles include Swing North Big Band, Maple Leaf Seven traditional jazz band, Maple Leaf German band, and St. J. Jazz Quartet. Other ensembles under the St. J. Jazz umbrella include United Community Handbell Ensemble and Danville Town Band. In addition to "secular" performances, Maple Leaf Seven and St. J. Jazz Quartet are available for jazz worship and Dixieland funerals, and Swing North Big Band offers annual Swinging Epiphany Celebrations. Part of the mission of St. J. Jazz is the developing and providing performance opportunities for young jazz musicians.
