Tr.Karis is an assistant lecturer at Multimedia University of Kenya in the Faculty of Computing and Information Technology. He holds a Master of Science in Distributed and Computing Technology from the University of Nairobi and a First Class Honors Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Technology from Multimedia University of Kenya. He has an industry certification in Huawei Certified ICT Associate (HCIA) – Routing & Switching, Huawei Certified ICT Professional (HCIP) – Routing & Switching and is a certified Huawei Routing & Switching Instructor (HCAI). His area of specialization is in Internet of Things and Internet Technologies. A passionate techie with deep tech industry knowledge, Tr.Karis has championed matters of Internet Governance in Kenya and beyond its borders. He is a KICTANet (Kenya ICT Action Network) associate and has recently started a PhD in Information Systems at the University of Nairobi. He aims to carry out a research around the topic of Internet of Things.
