This group is for potential future programmers to try their hand in open-source coding in a friendly and supportive environment. Whether you have no prior programming skills or you are a programming guru, the group provides a platform for aspiring or experienced coder to develop new understanding and perspective on the exploding and highly lucrative open source software development industry. We want to nurture code buddies culture where group of individuals with similar or different programming skill sets work on a common objective. Additionally we are going to establish peer-to-peer organized study groups and virtual hangouts. We'd like to explicitly encourage people who are underrepresented in the tech community to join.
