This channel brings you all the videos of the public activities of the Modern History Research Centre (MHRC) at the University of Winchester (UK). Founded in 2010, the MHRC supports the work of both academic staff and research students working in the area of Modern History (late 17th century to early 21st century) through the organisation of a range of activities, including public events. Our research strengths range from local and regional history to Japan and Russia/Belarus, the US South, the global Hispanic world, including Latin America, Italy, World War II/Holocaust, and (post)colonialism in the British and French Empires, as well as scientific and environmental history. The centre is also home of the Hispanic-Anglosphere project funded by the AHRC and the University of Winchester in partnership with the National Trust-Tyntesfield and the Centre of American Studies of the Universidad Adolfo Ibañez (Chile).
