Old North State is an urban winery in the historic downtown of Mount Airy, NC. Mount Airy is known as the home place of comedian, Andy Griffith and acted as the inspiration behind The Andy Griffith Show. Our location at 308 N Main St., served as a Belk in the early 1900's. With all the original flooring, and tin tiled ceiling, we turned this old building into an active winery and restaurant. With the help of our chef, Chris Wishart's creative imagination and our Sommelier, Ed Badgett III's extensive wine knowledge, we have put together a weekly pairing of wine and hors d'oeuvres that you can enjoy from the safety and comfort of your own home.
