ACP was established as a non-profit organization focused on setting skills standards through certification to align training program learning outcomes and employer expectations, resulting in more flow of talent into the field. Establishing industry-recognized, nonproprietary certifications is a long and expensive process which engages thought leaders, representative of various business and educational sectors, in directed research. ACP continues to enjoy strong financial support through key sponsors and memberships in conducting this important work, soon to be released to an industry desperate for technical talent. ACP will continue to work closely with the nation’s educators, contractors, conglomerates and federal agencies to fully characterize building automation career pathways from first exposure through graduation, certification, employment and professional advancement.
