About

TalkinToys is a Dubai-based indie pop band formed in 2018, consisting of lead vocalist Jasem and music producer Abdul Rahman. The band is known for its English-language songs that combine Western pop influences with Arabic storytelling. Their debut single, Be My First One, garnered local attention, and their 2022 single Quiet marked a step toward international reach. In 2023, their single Bleeding went viral on TikTok in the MENA region and entered the Top 100 Global chart on Shazam, propelling the band to greater success. With 293 million lifetime streams, TalkinToys continues to grow in popularity across the Gulf, Egypt, and beyond. Despite performing exclusively in English, they offer a unique cultural bridge between Western pop and Arab music. Their rise reflects the changing musical landscape in the Arab world, where language is no longer a barrier, but a tool for wider connection.
