DA FACT is a young and innovative company designing and manufacturing digital musical instruments. The company has been awarded numerous prizes for innovation, including the "Concours d'Aide à la Creation d'Entreprises de Technologies Innovantes" from the French Ministry of Research in 2004 and 2005, the Quartz Electronic Music Award in 2005 and the City of Paris award for innovation in 2007. DA FACT was created with the ambition of offering artists and performers of digital arts (music and visuals) community a range of instruments which would broaden their possibilities, enhance the ability to express themselves and the pleasure of performing while breaking the constraints imposed by traditional controllers and other computer interfaces. Karlax is the first instrument with total control bringing this vision to life.
