The purpose the "Getaway Guru(R)" Channel, is to help you with strategies on how to travel more and pay less. We’ll explore every avenue of travel. As our travels take us close to home or far away, I’ll be telling you where to go and how to get there, and, of course, the best travel deals on the planet. I’m Larry Gelwix, the “Getaway Guru” with Columbus Travel in Salt Lake City. In my 40+ years in the travel business it’s been my privilege to serve as an airline CEO, co-owner of one of the largest travel companies in America, board member for car rental companies and cruise lines, and currently CEO of Columbus Travel. And for ongoing for the past 30 years, host of the syndicated “Travel Show” radio broadcast. But most important, I’m a hopeless travel junkie!
