My Mom & Dad went to Italy when I was 12 & 13 and a bottle of wine started showing up on the dinner table nightly. At 57, I've been in the wine business 32 years and the adventure just keeps getting crazier. Presently, my focus is a wine shop called http://pairingsportland.com in Portland, Oregon. The shops wine choices are strongly influenced by my previous project, http://consciouswine.com, whose focus was discovering and educating the consumer on discovering what wines were "vital choices for palate & planet" (with an extra focus on wineries from the west coast of the US).
