In 1963 five students at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology got together to create Strindens Promenade Orchester. The biggest reason for the bands founding was so that the students got to play in the national days parade. Now, after playing, singing, dancing, setting world records and regularly switching out their members for more than 50 years, Strindens is still going strong filling the streets of their hometown Trondheim with music and joy!
