OWA is home to a host of annual events, firework displays and holiday entertainment. Named “Attraction of the Year” by Alabama’s Tourism Department, OWA is the state’s newest major destination. OWA (oh-wah) is inspired by the Muscogee Creek word for “water.” The Park at OWA features 23+ thrilling attractions and is open seasonally. Downtown OWA is an admission-free, pedestrian-only entertainment district, open daily featuring big names like Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen and Legends in Concert as well as coastal favorites like Murder Creek Distillery and Gravity Island Watersports!
