Motorcycling has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My father, now in his 80’s, has been motorcycling since he was a teen as has my older brother, so I’ve been around bikes, tinkering with them all my life. As a rider I was late to the game, only ever being a pillion, I remember being strapped on the back of the bike as a toddler or sat on the tank pretending to ride, so it wasn’t until retiring from the armed forces when I was 40 that the midlife crisis bug hit me and I bought my own bike. Now over ten years later the bug is still fresh and I ride every day, rain, hail or shine. I don’t claim to be an expert or even think my little adventures are worthy of Charlie Borman but I enjoy sharing my experiences in the world of bikes where it seems you’re never too old to start and can learn from everyone, no matter their experience.
