This is the channel of Scoville Memorial Library in Salisbury, CT. The Scoville Memorial Library was the first publicly funded, free public library in the United States, when in 1810 the Town of Salisbury gave money to support the original library's mission to create a collection of books for the town's youth. Located in the bucolic Northwest Hills of Connecticut, the modern-day Scoville Memorial Library offers a wide range of educational and entertaining programs for people of all ages. Recordings of programs are shared here for even more people to enjoy beyond the walls of our over 125-year-old gray marble building.
