I've been writing about gaming in my spare time for over a decade, and moved to video format to try something new. I make an effort to avoid other reviews until I have formed my own opinion on a title, save for one extenuating circumstance - if a game runs so poorly that I feel the need to investigate whether it's the game or my system causing the issue. My review biases tend to lean heavily towards story and characters, with additional credit for unique or particularly interesting progression mechanics. I have no intention of turning this into my job. This is my hobby and I'd prefer it stay that way.
