I try to show mission a little bit like a movie and from the perspective of a professional agent Sam Fisher who was on this mission for the first time so that he must adapt to the harsh conditions and act extremely cautiously to return safely home in one piece - inspirations came mostly from SC novels/books by David Michaels. It's a purest form slow pace stealth with the use of gadgets in a tactical way, sneaking through enemy lines, completing the main objectives without taking any offensive/aggresive actions.
