About

In 1968, Creedence Clearwater Revival exploded onto the scene with their self-titled debut album, unleashing a raw, electrifying sound that cut through the haze of San Francisco’s psychedelic era. Hailing from El Cerrito in the Bay Area, brothers John and Tom Fogerty, drummer Doug Clifford, and bassist Stu Cook weren’t chasing trends—they were creating something timeless. With gritty guitar riffs and a soul steeped in blues, country, rockabilly, gospel, folk, and R&B, CCR carved their own path, channeling the heart of American music into every track. This was the birth of a rock & roll powerhouse whose legacy of timeless, genre bending music continues today.
