Texas Paranormal (Texas Paranormal Researchers - TPR) was born out of Meetup.com in the spring of 2006. The creation of the organization was the result of limitations of the existing paranormal groups local to the Houston/Galveston area. TPR put a twist on ghosthunting by targeting historical sites as well as small historic towns. It turned out to be a huge success and after only 6 months at meetup.com, TPR had over 150 internet members and was hosting Bi-monthly events! Over the course of the following 6 months it was decided that we had outgrown meetup.com and it was time to move on to a bigger arena, the dot-com world! Through the transition from meetup group to internet organization, TPR retained it's core team of about 20 members and stabalized the meet schedule into a monthly event combined with semi-private investigations on a periodic basis. The team itself has become completely decentralized with members locations ranging from SanAntonio to Hamshire-Fannette!
