Hi and a warm welcome to those that have just discovered my channel. I started off with the intention of making hiking videos, hence the name 'Coats and Gaiters'. Typically I struggled to make those type of videos as camera stabilisation technology was very much in it's infancy and trying to hold a camera on a glidecam while hiking over hills really didn't go well with my fitness level. I was fairly good at making detailed car repair videos so this is where I focused my attention for many years until my wife Debbie sadly succumbed to Ovarian Cancer and passed away. After much family trauma and the inevitable sale of the large farmhouse which was ideally suited to car videos I was forced to sell literally everything I own and downsize in an effort to remuster my situation. During this process I met Clair who has taken me outside my comfort zone on many occasions to try and help me rebuild my life to where it is now. Clair has encouraged me to start making videos once again.
