This channel was started after searching the internet and not finding music played on the local radio stations in Barbados in the 60's, 70's and 80's. In particular, Barbadian Spouge music which had it's heyday during that time period. Most of the songs featured were recorded at Rediffusion and CBC studios. The records were pressed by WIRL Barbados Ltd, on the WIRL and TREX labels. Some were also released on the Merry Disc and REC labels. Other labels include Pebble Groove, RADREC, CARISAM, Flatwork, Island, Redemption and Tropitone.. The channel also features other music genres and Labels from around the Caribbean including Caribbean Folk music, Police Band, Gospel, Reggae, Calypso, Instrumental, Cadence and Christmas.
